PER Frandsen was welcomed back to the Reebok by everyone - except Burnley fans and the bookies.
The Danish international shot Wanderers into a 27th minute lead from the penalty spot and cost the bookmakers a fortune!
Ken McIntyre, site manager of Done Brothers bookmakers at the Reebok stadium, explained: "We listed him at 9-1 to score the first goal and took a lot of bets on him. Obviously the fans knew what he was capable of.
"As far as we're concerned the decision to sign him from Blackburn must be the worst of the season," he joked. "I think the odds on him scoring in the next game will come down a bit." The betting firm, however, almost got away with it.
When Isaiah Rankin was pulled down by Ian Cox, the on-loan striker recovered quickly and knocked the ball into the net.
The referee, however, had already blown for the penalty and insisted on it being taken. So up stepped Frandsen to blow a hole in the bookies' profits.
