EMMERDALE hunk Glenn Lamont yesterday laughed off a stag party 'full monty' prank just days before he weds a Bolton girl.
The TV star, who was guest of honour at Adlington Carnival, will tie the knot with his bride-to-be Cheryl Hackett on Saturday.
But last week red-faced Glenn was pictured in a national newspaper, chained to a traffic post in just his birthday suit, after stag party mates stripped the soap star following a drinking session in Leeds.
Glenn, 24, who plays love-rat Ritchie Carter in the show, said: "It was all just a bit of a laugh. It took place in the town where I grew up.
"When I was chained up I was on the phone to Cheryl who was laughing about what they'd done. There were hundreds of people taking pictures of me. Some even ran to a supermarket to buy disposbale cameras."
And Glenn admitted both he and Cheryl were feeling pre-nuptial nerves as their wedding day, to be held in Harrogate, draws near.
Only a few arrangements need confirming for the couple who have just booked a honeymoon to Lake Como in Italy.
He added: "Cheryl's a bit stressed out and come Thursday I will be in bits I think. But if you weren't stressed about getting married I think there would be something wrong."
And he was certainly a star attraction for the crowds which thronged to the Carnival's main arena for the final day's fun and games.
Glenn was on hand to judge the classic car show as well as watch townsfolk take on the trials of an It's A Knockout final.
On Saturday the crowd was treated to a bit of 'bully' with a guest appearance from former Bullseye host Jim Bowen, who now has a regular slot on a local radio station.
As the well-loved northern comedian prepared to entertain the crowd at the main arena off Park Road, he said: "I'm thrilled to be here. I was here about five years ago to do a cabaret but I've never opened it before."
And organisers of the event had an extra surprise when Jim's co-host on radio, BBC Lancashire's Sally Naden, joined him at the event.
She joked: "They've only asked Jim back again because he's so cheap."
On Saturday hundreds of people had converged on Adlington for the traditional colourful parade at 12.30pm which took floats along Church Street, Rawlinson Lane, Chorley Road and Railway Road.
A colourful array of marching bands, dancing troupes and processional floats took to the streets as the sun shone on crowds lining the route. A steam traction engine led the way followed by floats including a teddy bear's picnic, courtesy of Adlington Pre-School Playgroup, the Newburgh Morrismen and the Melton Mowbray Tally Ho band.
Three hours later a large crowd gathered as this year's Carnival queen Helen Haywood, 18, was crowned watched by junior queen Gemma Redmayne, 12, princess Grace Stanley, nine, rosebud Zoe Arrowsmith, eight, and pageboy Daniel Atherton, six.
