WRITING in this month's copy of Amateur Stage, Harold Smith, director of Bolton Little Theatre's production of Trotters, describes the daunting task of writing and staging a new musical show.
He describes how several writers submitted scripts for the recent Trotters revue.
Apparently, both director and cast members had misgivings about the entertainment value of much of the material, but in the event Trotters was a big success. And the roller-skating number in particular delighted the audience. Trotters is a mixture of music and sketches honouring Bolton folk.
It is being revived as part of Bolton Festival at BLT from August 26 to 28 and it's well worth seeing.
Tickets from the Albert Halls on 01204 334400.
