WEDNESDAY night 'Grolsch' First Division outfit Jerry Hat Tricks had their usual post match drinks and analysis in the clubhouse, but their latest session was all the more enjoyable as James Robinson's team recorded their opening win of the season (week 5).

Up against Kurt Ryan's respected Freckleton Rovers, Jerry's set about this fixture like any other, rolled up sleeves and persistence. Both teams played some neat football while the goalkeepers, in particular Jerry's Paul Jones, produced a string of fine saves. Very much tit for tat throughout.

Freckleton, with just a few minutes retraining, were 7-6 up and holding on but two vital strikes from Sean Lennon ensured a giant killing team performance was savoured.

JERRY HAT TRICKS -- James and Peter Robinson, Jason Greaves, Paul Jones, Arthur and Eddie Haworth, Darren Buckley, Shuan McNamara, Paul Birchall, Tony Woodyworth, Sean Lennon and Lee Wayne.

Focusing on one or two of our latest new teams, Saied Patel's Bolton Asians showed no change in the way they play their football, as an all-round skilful performance earned them a 10-4 win vrs Jamie Arden's Easy Lawn Turf.

The pre-entry training sessions for Michael Ainscough's Men With No Name paid dividends, as his team dominated in a 14-2 victory vrs The Posties, while more than settled in are Mike Lawler's Swinton Un Athletic, who top the Monday 'Carling' First Division with a 100 per cent start.
