IN the under 13s Cup Final at Clifton, Darcy Lever batted first and must have been overawed with the occasion, being bowled out for 12 runs, of which A Hitchen scored 10.

No less than nine of Darcy's batters failed to trouble the scorer. Best bowling for Clifton was James Walsh with three wickets for two runs, and David Greenhalgh two wickets for seven.

Clifton then took 3.3 overs to obtain a nine wicket victory.

Bolton Indians 34 for 7 Little Hulton 66 for 8

Kelly was Little Hulton's best batsman, 25 ret and best bowler with two wickets for sevens runs. Mandj was Bolton Indian's best bowler with three wickets for seven runs.

Blackrod 95 for 5 Lostock 96 for 3

Lostock won with two balls to spare in an evenly contested match. Best batsmen for Blackrod were Graeme Jones 21, Glynn Hughes and Andrew Swift 17 each, Lostock L Hayles 24.

Clifton 99 for 4 Daisy Hill 70 for 8

Having won the Cup on Sunday, Clifton's League title bid was kept on course with this victory as they are still undefeated. Their best players on this occasion Liam Dorsey 26 ret, Scott Davis 29 ret and two wickets for eight runs, Darren Stewart two wickets for 11 runs. In reply only Anthony Korale with three wickets for six runs played well for Daisy Hill.

Elton 64 for 3 Edgworth 62 for 7

Tom Liversedge batted well for Edgworth with 25 ret. Elton's C Murray replied with 26 ret and the best bowler was Elton's O Rigby with three wickets for two runs.
