BOLTON teenage actor Dale Peters should have no trouble deciding what to pack in his school lunch box after landing his first TV commercial.

Dale, aged 13, begins filming in London this week for a new Dairylea Lunchables advert.

The Little Lever High School pupil takes a staring role in the short story, playing a boy bored on a school trip who has his day livened up by tucking into some Dairylea.

Dale, of Ulleswater Close, Little Lever, only went for a 10 minute audition in London last week and was delighted to learn shortly afterwards that he has got the part.

In the audition he had to pretend to be a boy like the Harry Enfield character "Kevin" and then flash a cheeky grin.

Luckily Dale likes eating the product he will be promoting.

"We are hoping to get a year's supply," joked Dale's mum, Jill.

Dale is no stranger to the cameras as he was recently seen in an episode of the popular Yorkshire drama series "Where the Heart Is".

But he is hoping for a big break into movies.

He is still waiting to learn the outcome of an audition tape he sent off to Warner Bros, who are searching for a boy to take the lead role in the first Harry Potter film.

The movie, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", based on the first cult children's book by J K Rowling, is one of the most eagerly anticipated ever.

There has been frenzied speculation about the cast and recently the author announced that two of the adult main characters are to be played by Robbie Coltrane and Dame Maggie Smith.

Coltrane is lined up for the role of Hagrid, the groundkeeper at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while Dame Maggie will play Professor McGonagall, second in command at the school.

Dale, along with hundreds of other Harry Potter hopefuls, is waiting to hear whether he is in with a chance of landing the coveted star part.

"We are keeping our fingers crossed," said Jill.
