TED Mitchell of the Bolton Flat Green Bowling Club won the Leamington Spa Open tournament singles title in convincing style.
On his way to winning the championship he did not allow any of his opponents more than 13 shots in any of the rounds.
Ted, who is the current Bolton Bowling Club champion, uniquely won all three singles championships available to him last year at Leverhulme Park.
The two Qualifying Days have been completed in the 18th Bolton Open Pairs tournament, and thedraw for Finals Day on Saturday, at 9.45am is:
Section 1 -- R Farnworth/A Farnworth (Bolton), F Mossman/W Lloyd (Southport), A Leach/G D Niven (Bolton), J Adamson/M Adamson (Heaton Hall).
Section 2 -- M Fryer/J G Sharples (Blackburn), C Scott/D Oliver (Heaton Hall), D Lockhart/T W Armstrong (Bolton, Holders), M Grimshaw/I Hart (Horwich).
Section 3 -- E Counsell/R Booton (Bolton), A Bond/W Cropper (Bolton), S Deacon/J Birtwistle (Tottington), J Oates/C Oates (Bolton).
Section 4 -- L Noon/K Davey (Bolton), G Thompson/G Allen (Bolton), J Franklin/E Franklin (Bolton), T Johnston/A Bidwell (Failsworth).
The following ladies from Bolton are representing Lancashire at the National Finals at Leamington Spa this week.
Singles -- Pat Barker. Triples -- Joyce Bristow, Janet Cropper and Evelyn Franklin. Fours -- Joyce Bristow, Edna Counsell, Janet Cropper and Evelyn Franklin.
