Match special in the BEN on Monday, plus match pics on this site on Monday morning.

Happy Wanderers arrived late at the Hawthorns and could be in trouble with the league but they wont mind after picking up three valuable away points.

Loan star Isaiah Rankin and midfielder Garath Farrelly got the goals, one in each half, but the heroes were the defenders who nullified the Albion strikers Lee Hughes and Jason Roberts and in the last half hour ex-Wanderers player Bob Taylor.

It looked like the home side would dominate the game when they piled on the early pressure. Things went from bad to worse for Wanderers when they lost Simon Charlton with a hamstring injury after only ten minutes but Rankin and Bo Hansen still found space to test the home keeper Ryan Jensen with a couple of early headers.

The Albion defence was exposed in the 23rd minute when Leam Richard, Per Fransen and Hansen combined to create the space for Rankin, in the second game of his three month loan from Bradford, to open the scoring with a smart finish.

Albion became more frustrated as Wanderers settled into their stride, soaking up the pressure and hitting hard on the break.

Bergsson was outstanding at the back and Fish had to make a spectacular intervention, but the pressure eased considerably in the 75th minute when Farrellly pounced for the second after Dean Holdsworth's shot had been blocked.

Albion produced a late flourish with Hughes hitting the bar with a header but the Wanderers guards deserved their clean sheet.
