MULTI national companies will join forces with local firms in a drive to fill job vacancies and reduce unemployment in the area.
A Jobs and Training Fair takes place at Little Hulton Community School on Wednesday, August 30.
Mayor of Salford, Cllr Barry Warner, will open the event at 10am.
Barclays Bank, BUPA, Salford City Council, the Trafford Centre, colleges and the employment Service, will be among the exhibitors.
The event is sponsored by the Lifelong Learning Group and the Little Hulton and Farnworth Partnership.
Garry Murray, Little Hulton Jobshop leader, has co ordinated the event.
He said: "It is a greater opportunity for local unemployed people to get the right advice and opportunities to get back into work, particularly school leavers and parents."
Advice on employment and in-work benefits, such as Working Families Tax Credits, will also be available.
