NOT 12 months after Tory leaflets were thinly scattered around various parts of Bolton hailing the "Common Sense Revolution" we find it is starting to unravel with the slightest of scrutiny.

The tax guarantee has already been scrapped as has the waiting list guarantee.

Now we find that the whole revolution is to be watered down -- not so much a revolution more a hand bags at 12 paces.

The fact remains that despite the hype the Tories have learned nothing from their defeat.

The public sees them as extreme, anti-working women, anti-family and now they don't even have a credible set of policies.

William Hague is now proving his critics right when they said he would be incapable of leading a political party let alone a country.
