ARMED police swooped on three teenagers who sparked a gun alert in Whitefield town centre.
A shop owner raised the alarm after watching two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old boys load what appeared to be a handgun.
Police were called to the Elms Square precinct shortly before 3pm yesterday and the youngsters were arrested. The weapon as an imitation pistol.
The boys were released without charge.
