A CYCLIST from Poland has lost his three-day fight for life after falling under the wheels of a bin lorry in Holcombe Brook.
Mariusz Mazurek, aged 16, suffered head injuries in the accident after a cycling trip to the countryside around Holcombe Hill on Monday.
The teenager was due to fly home to Gdansk today after a two month stay with relatives in Prestwich.
He died last night at North Manchester General Hospital.
The youngster was on a life support machine after the accident in Longsight Road.
He suffered two broken legs, a crushed pelvis and head injuries.
