DOGS of all breeds were in tip-top form at the weekend when the traditional Bolton Town Dog Show show was held in tandem with Bolton Show.
Over 1,000 entries came from all parts of the country, Scotland, the Isle of Man and the South of England to Leverhulme Park.
There has been a dog show as part of the annual fun for the past 12 years, as a premier canine event in the North-west.
Major local winners were Miss Tracey Irving, of Kearsley, whose Pembroke Corgi "Twinan the Dragonmaster" won Best of Breed , Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best Puppy in Show.
The golden oldies were well represented in the veteran and vintage classes, and keen local exhibitors Colin and Ann Barker, of Breightmet, won Reserve Best Veteran in Show with their Doberman "Kleinbar Corvette at Rikov."
