35PUPPIES in the Bolton area are being invited to a party!
The Companion Care veterinary surgery at the Pets at Home store in Middlebrook is holding regular, free puppy parties.
This is to encourage young dogs of every creed and colour to socialise nicely at an early age. And owners get helpful advice from trained veterinary nurses on first stage feeding, nutrition, vaccinations, flea and worming requirements as well as some basic behavioural training.
Puppies, although adorable, are also very vulnerable while they're growing up. If they're not taught the difference between right and wrong, kindly but firmly , they can become little monsters.
Companion Care recommend three simple guidelines to help puppies grow into healthy, happy and balanced mature dogs:
Early training and social skills development creates a better dog/owner relationship.
Good quality and carefully balanced food promotes strong and healthy growth.
Inoculations and regular health checks help to fight disease and discomfort.
Vaccinations are a must for young dogs. It's recommended that all canines are inoculated, against such dangerous diseases as distemper and parvovirus, at six and 12 months.
And a long-term health care plan is important as the dog matures. Once puppies have outgrown the surgery parties, they can return for adult health checks as part of the free daily clinics that are held by the veterinary nurses.
And from now until September 12, there's a free 3kg bag of Pedigree Advance Puppy when puppies go for their first vaccinations or attend a puppy party.
