YOUNGSTERS in Brinscall know all about team building!
More than 20 have been taking part in a special summer project -- Brinscall Summer 2000 Youth Project -- to help stop boredom and hone team skills.
Local authorities got together with the police, including local constable Sean Graves, and other groups, such as the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers to help provide young people with constructive and enjoyable activities.
And the hope is that the young adults will be better equipped to take part in local decision making and community affairs. Those taking part in the week enjoyed outdoor pursuits at the Anderton Outdoor Centre and spent time helping with practical conservation projects in the area.
The event follows a recent petition which was started by three girls in another area of Chorley, calling for more facilities for youngsters in the Heskin area. WHAT a splashing time! : Nick Harrop, Rikki Smeeton, Laura Langton, Laura Wane, Lauren Wood, Laura Millington and Michael Euston at the Anderton Outdoor Centre.
