THE case of a Bolton man accused of attempting to kill a pensioner by stamping on his head has been delayed for further medical evidence.
Peter Christopher Derbyshire, age 37, of Claremont Court, Bolton, appeared before Rochdale magistrates charged with the attempted murder of 74-year-old Mr Joseph Casey in Middleton town centre on July 11.
The court was told Mr Casey, of Great Arbor Way, Middleton, is still in hospital.
Derbyshire will reappear on September 14. He is also charged with criminal damage.
