A MOTHER-of-three has renewed her appeal for businesses to sponsor a parachute jump in aid of a Bolton toddler.
Andrea Gregory was so affected by a story in the BEN about two-year-old Nathan Howarth, who suffers from a rare and deadly genetic disorder, that she wanted to raise money to help send him to the USA for specialist treatment.
The 34-year-old, of Second Avenue, Heaton, has always wanted to do a parachute jump and decided to take to the skies to help out Nathan from Great Lever.
But despite having collected more than £400 in sponsorship, the part-time merchandiser is hoping Bolton businesses will pledge donations to boost the total.
She said: "I've never done anything like this before, but I really felt for Nathan and his family when I read about him.
"I've been very lucky to have healthy children and so I wanted to do my bit to help.''
Nathan's mum, Denise, has been busy persuading daredevil pals to take part in the parachute jump in Leeds and four people are now likely to take the plunge.
If any businesses would like to help out they are urged to contact Andrea on 077187 28535.
Meanwhile, dancers from the All Stars Klub are performing tonight at the Victory Reform Club in Chorley Old Road to raise cash for Nathan. There will also be a family disco, quiz, tombola and raffle.
It is the first performance for the young dancers, who have rehearsed for just five weeks, and who are aged between five and 11. The event starts at 7.30pm with tickets at £2 for adults and 50p for children.
