A MAJOR American television company are asking you to Imagine being a superstar and then come and see them.

NBC are searching the region for someone to fill Liverpool's favourite son John Lennon's shoes in a new movie about his early life.

They are looking for a Lennon lookalike aged between 17 and 23, who also sounds like the scouse legend.

The film, entitled "In His Life - The John Lennon Story" will be filmed in Liverpool and as well as being given the chance of a lifetime the lucky candidate will also receive a $500 reward.

But Bolton Beatlemaniacs will have to hot-foot it down to Liverpool either tomorrow or Bank Holiday Monday to sign up for chance of stardom. On Sunday the NBC stand will be at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool from 10.30am onwards as part of the annual Beatles Convention.

On Monday it will be at the Matthew Street Festival, located on North John Street from 10am onwards.

NBC ask any hopefuls to bring along an audition tape, CV and a photograph if possible.
