WESTHOUGHTON have signed Eagley's Brad White as their professional for next season.
The club agreed terms this week with the South African all rounder who has scored over 700 runs and taken 50 wickets since the beginning of the season.
That leaves Eagley looking for a new man but there is some talk they may offer terms to South African Ian Mitchell, who was pro at the club last season.
Egerton have signed Neil McGarrell for another year - his third at Longworth Road - but the rest of the clubs are keeping pretty quiet about their plans.
Greenmount and Kearsley are both keen to keep Saeed Anwar and Fazel Akber for at least another season and sources hint that the players are close to agreeing to stay.
As revealed last week on these pages Tonge have signed Adil Nisar as the successor Iqbal Sikander. The Castle Hill club is throwing a farewell party for Iqbal tonight and everyone is welcome to wave off one of the most popular professionals in the Bolton League.
In the Association, Walshaw have moved quickly to secure the services pro Jonathan Fielding and coach Barry Hamilton. Fielding is in his third season at Sycamore Road and chairman Keith Harris said the decision to re-sign the all rounder was unanimous.
"He's been a very popular and talented professional, one of the best the club has had in a long time, and we were delighted when he accepted our offer to stay on."
Atherton, however, are looking for a new professiona. They offered Andrew Hall terms for another season but the player is going off to Australia for the winter and my not be back in time for the start of next year's campaign.
He is also playing with Minor Counties side Cheshire and does not want to be tied down with a club contract.
Secretary Derek Halliwell said the club were disappointed but added: "We could not have had better than Andrew. He has been a model professional, respected throughout the Association, and we would have loved to have signed him again but he told us of his plans and reluctantly we have had to accept them."
Atherton are now searching for a replacement but as yet have no one in mind.
No such problems for Adlington. They have re-signed Matthew Taylor for a fifth year. The spinner has become an integral part of the side and in his spell at the club has helped them to a league championship and the Cross Cup final.
