BRAVE cancer sufferer Ricky Wayne took to the stage again to raise cash for the Christie Hospital.
The well-known entertainer, who was diagnosed with lung cancer last November, compered a show which included performances from several Bolton singers and comedians.
Rumworth Labour Club on St Helens Road was packed to the rafters on Friday for the event which raised more than £1,000 for the children's ward of the Christie Hospital.
Ricky, who lives in Halliwell, has performed in clubs for more than 25 years.
He is determined to raise £25,000 for the South Manchester hospital where he has been receiving treatment and is pleased to announce that after Friday's successful event, his fundraising has almost reached the halfway point with £11,264 in the kitty.
Ricky is also planning another fundraiser for Bolton teenager Amanda Gifford, who lost her leg through cancer earlier this year. He said: "It was brilliant and the club was absolutely jampacked.''
