ON Saturday August 26 I was at the Reebok Stadium to watch my favourite team play Preston.
It was a very good day and Bolton won a good match.
The part that really pleased me was when Nat Lofthouse came on to the pitch for his 75th birthday presentation.
The home fans gave him brilliant applause and the reception from the Preston fans was great.
I would like to thank them for their generous applause for a great man.
The main reason for my letter is to ask our local MPs why they have not lobbied the Prime Minister to get a knighthood for Nat.
He deserves it and it would sound good -- Sir Nat Lofthouse, ex-Bolton and England.
