A BOLTON Thai boxer is putting his stamina to the test in aid of a local youngster and trying to break a world record at the same time.
Sandy Holt, who runs Bolton Thai Boxing Club, has already pledged to double the number of sit-ups and press-ups performed by his pal Mick Roberts.
But he is now going for a place in the Guinness Book of Records for the greatest number of sit-ups per minute.
The two Thai boxers will be raising cash for two-year-old Nathan Howarth, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder and needs specialist treatment in America.
Anyone who fancies cheering them on or acting as an invigilator when it comes to counting the number of press-ups and sit-ups is urged to call Sandy at the club on 395807.
The sponsored session starts tomorrow at 2pm.
