Printing boss Tony Flynn, aged 54, of Rosebank, was summoned back before a special court hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester after police uncovered the extent of his gains.
Flynn had used his struggling firm Calder Press in Oldham to set up a sophisticated printing press to print millions in forged £5 notes.
As well as owning one house, he had a luxury five-bedroomed home now worth £250,000 built for him in the Rossendale Valley, a £60,000 sports Mercedes and a BMW for his wife.
He claimed to have made just £6,000 from his criminal activities, but police ordered him to reveal his true financial assets.
Last April, Flynn was jailed for six years after being convicted by a jury on counterfeit charges.
The court also heard he made money from copying designer jeans and other products.
