IDENTICAL twins Wale and Dotun Rominiyi very nearly had identical grades to cheer about when they received their GCSE results.
The 16-year-old former Westleigh High School pupils had the same grades in six subjects, with only science separating the two brain boxes.
Both Wale and Dotun had eight A-Cs with an A star in drama. Wale got AA for science while Dotun was awarded BB. The brothers, of Abbey Lane, have now both enrolled at Leigh College and hope to get similar excellent results for their A levels.
Wale, full name Olawale, said both of them were delighted with their results and were now looking forward to moving on to higher education.
"We were very pleased with our GCSE results. We were sad to leave Westleigh, but we are ready to move on. A levels should be a challenge."
Wale will be studying maths, chemistry, biology and physics, while Dotun, full name Oladotun, will be taking IT, maths, physics and computing. The identical twins have taken the same route through education so far, but look likely to go their own way after finishing their A levels in two years.
Wale said: "I want to be a doctor and Dotun wants to be a software engineer. We hope to go on to university and will probably split up then, which will be strange because we are close and have never been split up before."
In their spare time, the twins want to follow up their excellent drama grade by getting involved in local productions.
