LEIGH Centurions' Super League dream lives on.
Hilton Park chairman Mike Nolan is convinced that should Leigh win next season's Northern Ford Premiership Grand Final, Leigh's application won't be refused.
"We are confident that Hilton Park will be up to the required standards by June 30, 2001," he declares. " The current rules state that all current and aspriring teams must have acceptable facilities by that date or they will be excluded from Super League 2002.
"This should give Leigh a better chance to get in. The likes of Salford, Wakefield, Castleford clearly do not, and almost certainly will not, meet the criteria and will be relegated even if they win the Super League Grand Final.
"That is how the rules stand at the moment and I have written to the Rugby League for confirmation.
"Our aim is to get Hilton Park into shape and make it impossible for them to exclude us from the competition."
