IN reply to the letters from Malcolm Pittock, Keith Dewhurst and A Hebeton (August 28) on the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I would ask the same question that must be on the lips of millions, yes millions, of Second World War ex-servicemen whenever such letters are published. Given the fact that the Japanese were a barbaric and treacherous nation, would they have refrained from using it had they developed it before the Americans? If they had, I would not be writing this letter.
