A VARIETY of new opportunities and courses will be coming to Westhoughton Community Centre next month.
Places are still available for the courses ranging from aromatherapy and crafts, to literature and first aid.
Aromatherapy level one will give participants the chance to explore the use of essential oils. It also provides a grounding to serve as a means of progressing to a higher level, or using aromatherapy to become healthier.
The course starts on September 22 and will run every Friday, 1pm to 3pm with a free creche.
Beginners to the craft world get the chance to try their hand at five different skills within one course.
The course offers six week blocks of five different activities including simple interiors, egg decoration, aromatherapy, flower arranging and fun birthday cakes. This course also has a free creche.
An access literature course is accredited by the Manchester Open College Federation and will cover a number of works throughout the year.
The most important skill a person can learn - saving life - is being taught in a first aid course.
The 15-week course is certificated and will run on Saturday mornings with a free creche and play scheme. Anyone can join, whether they have prior experience or not.
A spokesman for the centre said: "Our courses can help anyone trying to get back into work, or who feels they need a little help to gain some confidence, create a CV or develop good interview techniques.
"There is anything from a one off session to several weeks of training.
"A course particularly focused on this runs on Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm, when a free creche is available."
Further information on all courses is on 01942 634700.
