SALFORD youngsters recorded their fifth successive year of improved GCSE results this summer.
Education chiefs in the city claim improved performances by this year's 2,300 plus exam candidates.
The number of Salford pupils achieving five A to C grades has risen from 34.6 per cent to 36 per cent, while pupils leaving with at least one A to G grade pass has increased from 95.6 per cent last year to 96.8 per cent.
