MR Steve Lee has been appointed General Manager of the £12 million Village Hotel & Leisure Club due to open next year on the Waterfold Business Park in Rochdale Road, Heywood.
Village Bury is being built on a five-acre site close to Junction 2 of the M66.
Chorley-born Mr Lee has spent most of his career with Village Leisure Hotels, rising from Deputy Manager to his current position as General Manager of the Village Leisure Hotel in Cheadle.
Village Bury, which incorporates 98 en-suite bedrooms, extensive conference, meeting and banqueting facilities, a restaurant, bars and a leisure club, will create about 200 full and part-time jobs.
Mr Lee, who currently lives in Northwich, Cheshire, said the new project was a "tremendously exciting development for Bury and Rochdale."
