IN the first Bolton Combination Premier League matches of the new season, PG Landscapes came out on top in a nine-goal thriller against Bolton Lads Club.
Paul Walker and Billy Maycock both scored twice for the home side as did David Warburton and Lee Wol for the visting Lads team. The final result was 5-4.
Stoneclough dominated their home game against Howe Bridge Mills which they won 5-1.
Both Paul Davies and Craig Smith scored braces with Mark Cleary replying for the visitors in the final minute.
However, if Howe Bridge Mills could find life difficult in the Premier League, Tottington United are going to find it even tougher after suffering an eight-goal drubbing at home to a very young AFC Bolton Walkers team.
Super-sub Damion Winnard scored a hat-trick and five other players got on the scoresheet for the visitors. Paul Stringer scored a brace for the home side.
It was a much tighter affair between Walkden AFC and Kersal Vale, with the visitors emerging 2-1 winners, despite the home side's Steve Clayton pulling one back in the 89th minute.
However, in Division One, Walkden AFC Reserves enjoyed a 5-2 win over newcomers Farnworth Royals, with Les Moore scoring a first-half hat-trick.
Commercial AFC were very unlucky to lose a three-goal thriller against hosts Brindle Heath Lads Club and it was also end-to-end stuff at Fearnleys FC, despite them going down 3-1 to Walkden Reserves.
Mitchell Shackleton had a good game against AC Weaste and emerged 2-0 winners.
But it was a very different story at Trident FC, who went down 9-3 to a superior Diamond FC side.
In the U18s North West Youth Alliance Premiership, Daten Sports Club beat visitors Prestwich Heys 3-1. Euxton Villa were thrashed by ten goals without reply by Altrincham and Runcorn AFC lost at home to Rylands by three goals to one.
In the U18 Alliance First Division, Formby FC beat Little Lever by six goals to nil. New Mills fell to Oldham Town 3-1, despite taking a sixth minute lead.
Prestwich Heys FC B team went 2-0 down to St Annes Rovers away and Winsford United enjoyed the same margin of victory against visitors Stand Athletic.
