Fans give us a head start I would like to heap lots of praise on our fans that made the trip to Wilderspool, Warrington last week.
It really spurred the players on to hear the fans in great voice before the game even started and they certainly kept it up throughout the match.
We carried out our game plan well at Warrington and deserved the two points in my mind. I was really pleased with the manner in which we won the match.
We had a plan to absorb plenty of their pressure in the first half and then open up in the second and that is just the way it went. There were some superb team tries, especially from Kris Radlinski and Terry Newton who unquestionably deserved his hat-trick.
We hope to please the fans again this week when we take on Hull at the JJB Stadium (Sunday 3pm).
Hull of course sent us crashing out of the Challenge Cup earlier in the year, but we have had two good wins over them since then both at home and away.
Hopefully there will be another great crowd and another great game and hopefully a Wigan win. The Bolton Evening News has been a lucky charm so far in that we have yet to lose since I started this column. Long may that continue.
It looks like it will be a Minor Premiership decider with St Helens in just under two weeks time at Knowsley Road. These derby matches are big games anyway, but the chance of finishing in pole position and having a week off when the play-offs start is a great incentive and both teams are sure to be fired up.
Hold on to your hats!
Keep Smiling
