Simon Stott, left, winner of the Shore Top Match and right, John Eastwood, winner at Dixon Green. A GOOD attendance is expected at a forthcoming Junior Teach-in following a similar event last year which was hailed as a huge success.
The teach-in is to be held on Jumbles Reservoir on October 8 and It is hoped that professional anglers will be on hand to offer advice and help kick-start the youngsters to a life times love of the sport.
The event is being organised by Bolton and District Anglers Association as part of 'The Mersey Basin Weekend' when all sorts of water orientated activities will be undertaken in the region.

qWINTER match fishermen who can get by without the need to fish Bloodworm and Joker get the opportunity to show their prowess in a new forthcoming winter league series.
The 'red stuff' is banned on the six match series which will be held soley on canals.
The organiser's are Great Lever Angling Club and the entry will be limited to the first forty anglers who book on.
A one-off entry fee of £10 is required with £10 pools and peg fees for each match.
The first match takes place on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal at Church on 8th October with a 8am draw with fishing from 10am untill 3pm.
A pre-series meeting will take place at Great Lever Conservative Club on 15th September commencing 8pm and all interested anglers are asked to attend.

qBOLTON and District Anglers Association hold their challange match on Sunday 17th. September at Church on the Leeds- Liverpool Canal.
The draw venue is the Cross Guns public house at 8.30 and fishing is from 10am untill 3pm. To book on ring Dave Hanson on 0161 761 7441.
qOVER Hulton AC hold a match on their own Duchy Water this Sunday with a 10.30 draw with fishing from 11 untill 4.
Members are reminded that the match has restricted baits of 1pint of casters and 1 pint red maggots.
The club have also limited guest places available for their Hampton Springs match on 17th September.

Shore Top A.C. Walker Cup - Shore Top 02/09/00 The water is showing some good form at the moment with skimmers and bream being caught on the pole and quivertip with either red maggot or worm. 1st. Farnworth Anglers Open Match - Dixon Green Reservoir 03/09/00 A very cold Saturday night put the bigger fish off and the full house of twenty had to sit and hope.
John Eastwood clinched it with a 3lb bream on the first cast. 1st John Eastwood (Worsley AC) 3-10-8, 2nd Phil Ford (Lloyds Maggots) 2-5-0, 3rd Keith Holland (2001 Design and Print) 1-9-0.
Horwich RMI aggregate match - Burton Mere 27/08/00 A poor turn out of nine members caught mainly small fish as a windy day and a lot of colour in the water put paid to the bigger stuff. 1st J Ridings 11-0-0, 2nd C. McNally 5-9-0, 3rd M. Ruston 5-7-0.
Kearsley Royal British Legion aggregate match - River Weaver, Vale Royal 03/09/00 The long walk to the pegs was worth while when the Kearsley lads had a good days fishing with roach and skimmers in abundance. Pole at 11 metres seemed favourite with squat or red maggot. 1st Andy Makin 14-0-0, 2nd Don Kilmer 9-15-4, 3rd Simon Wood 7-11-6, 4th Andy Bridge 7-4-2.
