ALTHOUGH Parliament has not yet been dissolved, the election campaign appears to have been opened by the Labour supporters, presumably on the orders of their head office.

The way they are forecasting the Conservative manifesto, I think they would be better employed by taking a kiosk on the Golden Mile and spending their time telling fortunes -- they could be more accurate and it may be financially more profitable.

The stories they put out about the Conservative plans for health and education could not have been written better by either Goebels or Lord Haw Haw.

I suggest they remind the readers of the broken promises of the Blair/Mandelson manifesto:- education -- schools in chaos; health -- hospitals badly organised and, as in Bolton, first class staff having to waste money for want of a state-of-the-art hospital, situated in Bolton, thereby forcing many patients to use four buses to reach the hospital.
