MY recent letter in response to those motorists who blamed the government for the level of fuel prices has not brought a single reply. May I take it these critics are now agreeing with me?
In another recent letter in response to Walter Hall's claim that New Labour was on the ropes in which I brought to his notice many of the huge successes of this government. Again not a single peep.
Normally, I receive one or two telephone calls and the odd anonymous letter, so can I assume that my message has not fallen on deaf ears?
Good! Because I will detail a few more successes.
Introduction of the minimum wage. Two million workers benefit.
Low interest rates for business and 10pc tax rate introduced.
Don't forget the reduction of VAT on fuel to 5pc.
The biggest ever hospital building programme.
The role played in putting the Good Friday agreement into place.
The abolishing of hereditary peers.
Improved classroom results -- reduced class sizes.
Abolishing the two tier hospital internal market.
All these achievements benefit each and everyone in the country, so I say, do not let the Tories have the chance to destroy them!
Remember how the last government pushed through the privatisation of the railways in its death throes in order to raise money for promised tax reductions? Look what an awful mess they made of that. Also remember that Hague is using privatisation as the main support to his mini-manifesto pipe dreams.
