ORGANISERS Bolton Business Ventures are sending out 800 invitations to this year's 11th annual Bolton Business Lecture on October 23.
The speaker at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton, will be Malcolm Walker, Chairman of the Iceland Group.
A committed member of Greenpeace, Mr Walker is the man behind a pioneering stance on food safety and quality issues.
He launched a 'Food You Can Trust' campaign, eliminated artificial colourings and flavourings from own label products and converted entire ranges to organic at no price premium.
Yorkshire-born Mr Walker invested £30 in 1970 to rent premises in Oswestry for the first Iceland shop.
This summer the company merged with Booker to form one of the country's biggest food groups.
The Deeside-based company now has a workforce of 22,000, an annual turnover of nearly £2 billion and 770 stores nationwide.
BBV Chief Executive Paul Davidson said: "It promises to be a fascinating insight into how this business works."
