Demonstrations and tuition where the individual can learn about coiling, slabbing and throwing, the use of glazes, electric and raku kiln packing and firing. GRIZEDALE FOREST, Lake District. Grizedale Show. A weekend of art, forestry and fetes which includes limo tours visiting new works of art in the forest and the launch of the Festival of Lying celebrating the local tradition of 'Cumbrian lying", also displays of lumber jacks, the famous Welsh Axemen and displays of pole lathe turning and basket making. For children there is a rocket building and launch display, a forest treasure trail. Other attractions include forest art and nature tours, falcontry demonstrations, dry stone walling, a duck race, a marquee with stalls. Admission £25 for a weekend pass with many of the outdoor events free. Friday September 15 to Sunday September 17.
