CLONTER OPERA THEATRE, Congleton. Friday September 15, 7pm, Halle Strings, an ensemble of 35 members of the Halle Orchestra performing. The special concert, in aid of the Halle Appeal, marks the Halle's debut appearance at this venue. Led by Halle leader Lyn Fletcher the concert will feature some of the finest works for strings, including Handel's Concerto Gross op 6 No 9, Elgar's Sospiri and Serenade for Strings, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Delius' Two Aquarelles, Warlock's Capriol Suite and Strauss' Capriccio.
