MORE Bolton businesses are being urged to seek the Royal seal of approval for their drive and innovation.
Organisers of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2001 say that so far there have been 27 local applications for details.
The awards are made for outstanding achievement in innovation, international trade and sustainable development. Closing date for applications is October 31.
Queen's Awards Secretary David Moore said: "We would very much like to see more applications from the Bolton area, though I am pleased about the interest shown in the new category of sustainable development.
"That has been described as a development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the future, so the response is good not just for business but also for future generations."
Entry packs are available on 0990 13 44 86 or an application form can be down-loaded from the website -- www.queensawards.org.uk
