MARK Fish and Gareth Farrelly are expected to be back in the reckoning when the happy Wanderers put their unbeaten record on the line against Portsmouth at the Reebok on Saturday.
Both missed the record-breaking win at Grimsby on Tuesday night with ankle injuries - Fish also having missed Saturday's win at Huddersfield - but Sam Allardyce is confident he will have them back in the fold.
One man already ruled out, however, is skipper Mike Whitlow, who limped out of the Blundell Park action with a groin injury.
He was having a scan today to determine the extent of the damage.
Despite Wanderers' barnstorming start to the season, Allardyce continues to be plagued by a succession of injury problems, which have prompted him to make a determined search of the transfer markets at home and abroad.
For the time being, he has pledged to soldier on and continue the five-match winning sequence that has given his team a flying start.
But he warned today: "I don't want any slip-ups on Saturday.
"It seems an awful long time since we were last here for the Preston game and we must make sure we keep this run going.
"We don't want to waste the opportunity to capitalise at home on the foundations we've laid on our travels. It would be a pity if, after doing so well away from home, we came unstuck at the Reebok. We don't want any disappointments."
Wanderers have re-scheduled their home game against QPR - postponed from September 2 - for Tuesday, October 31 (ko 8pm). Tickets are now on open sale for that fixture.
