IT'S wonderful to hear that Trinity Street Church is being put to good use and will remain such a mainstay of the community.
The site will be used to house a selection of voluntary services, which will all come under one roof.
This arrangement can only be beneficial to everyone -- to those who run the volunteer services involved, to the general public and to the whole community.
The BEN would like to see this practice used on a far more regular basis. Instead of the bombastic approach of demolishing or neglecting many old landmark buildings once they have exceeded their so-called sell-by date, why not put those that remain habitable to a good cause?
