BUOYED by a magnificent fightback to beat Crewe at the weekend, Wanderers are reeling from an injury to Mark Came that puts further strain on their already depleted defensive resources. The big central defender has ankle ligament problems, adding to problems currently keeping out Mark Winstanley and Barry Cowdrill. Tony Philliskirk, Scott Green and Julian Darby were the scorers of the second half goals that saw Wanderers recover from a 2-0 half-time deficit to beat the Alex 3-2.

. STRUGGLING Orient cause Wanderers a problem at Burnden with Glenn Roeder punishing a John Byrom mistake to score the Londoners' first away goal of the season in the 61st minute. But Ian Greaves' side show their spirit with Roy Greaves grabbing an equaliser 10 minutes from time. A crowd of just 10,218 sees Alan Waldron make a welcome return to the substitute's bench - his fisrt senior appearance for a year after breaking his leg at Blackburn.
