A TEENAGER needed emergency treatment after claims that a cordless electric drill had been pushed up his nose -- and turned on.
The 18-year-old man was rushed to the Royal Bolton Hospital with serious facial injuries in the alleged attack at a Great Lever house early yesterday.
It is understood the victim, who has not been identified, suffered a broken nose and lacerations. Remarkably he was later discharged from hospital after treatment. Today a police spokesman confirmed that Alan Daniel Pasquill, 29, of Duncombe Road, Great Lever, was due to appear before Bolton magistrates charged with a section 18 assault.
A man and woman who had also been questioned were released without charge.
