TWENTY workers at a Bury factory were evacuated following an early morning blaze.
Staff at the Oxford Spinning Mill in Bridge Street were forced to leave at 1am today following the fire which involved a space heater.
Senior personnel tackled the blaze with a fire extinguisher prior to fire crews arriving.
Officers inspected the premises and the workers were allowed back in after 30 minutes.
It is believed cotton dust caused the heater to ignite.
Although fire damage was minimal, the factory was smoke logged.
