Olympic flame burns bright I WATCHED the opening of the Olympic Games, and found it an enthralling mind-blowing spectacle, like a journey down the yellow brick road in a golden sleigh.
It was magical, with colour that dazzled. The adrenaline kept me on the edge of my chair as my eyes followed every scene.
The logistics, the planning, the dedication of a very proud nation which came forth from every participant.
There may have been a small hiccup, but on the whole it was perfection!
It had the 'X' factor, and a charisma of reality and fantasy, to have been present in its atmosphere would have been highly privileged.
With regard to our own country hosting the Olympic Games in the distant future, I have dire reservations about this. It may be the fact that the powers that be celebrated 2,000 years of history with a 'Pan Lid Dome'. A Harrison
