YOU'RE in the army now . . .
Proud soldier trooper Jason Redford has joined the King's Royal Hussars after successfully completing his full military training.
Jason, aged 21, who comes from Coniston Road, Chorley, is a former pupil of Southlands High School and student at Wigan and Leigh College.
He underwent basic training at the Army Training Regiment in Winchester where he passed with ease, gaining a "best recruit" award. He then moved on to Bovington, Dorset, where he learned radio signalling and driving and maintaining armoured fighting vehicles.
Throughout his arduous training Jason was tested both physically and mentally and acquired skills ranging from map reading to first aid.
His interests include football, athletics, motor sport, music and socialising.
