THE stars will be coming out for a superb Millennium musical celebration in aid of Chorley's Derian House Children's Hospice this weekend.
An exciting programme of music has been compiled by international conductor Ed Warren.
Along with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, he will feature in a stunning evening of music, together with international pianist Mark Roscoe and the renowned Kinder Children's Choirs of the High Peak, under their director Joyce Ellis, whom many people will know from their appearances on both ITV and BBC television.
The evening will also be boosted this year by Coronation Street star Jacqueline Pirie, who plays Mike Baldwin's new wife Linda.
Susie Poppitt, of Derian House, said:"Following the success of our first concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Guild Hall Preston, we felt the Millennium year was an ideal opportunity to stage a further such event.
"Once again this promises to be as successful an evening as the first.
"We are extremely grateful to Martin Roscoe for taking time out from his busy schedule of international performances to join us for this concert.
"Of course, we're absolutely thrilled that he has agreed to play some Grieg for us, and that, along with the rest of the programme looks set to produce a really lovely event."
Tickets for the event are available from the Guild Hall box office on 01772 258858, or from Derian House on 01257 271271.
