BOLTON-born Paul Johnson found himself featured on Vatican Radio as part of the Vatican's Jubilee Year of the Elderly.
Mr Johnson, originally from Tonge Fold, is now Corporate Development Director of Anchor Trust.
Retirement housing schemes across the country include those in Bolton, Bromley Cross, Farnworth, Kearsley and Westhoughton. Vatican Radio broadcasts to five million listeners in Rome and a worldwide audience on the internet.
Mr Johnson said today: "They wanted to know what services were available in England for older people. As Anchor Trust is the country's leading not-for-profit provider of care, housing and support for older people, they came to us for an overview.
"They were very impressed with the range of options available -- particularly retirement housing and our Staying Put services, such as the one in Bolton, which enables people to remain in their own homes."
