PUPILS from a Chorley school have received awards for their outstanding attendance records.
Star former pupils -- Antonia Reid, now studying 'A' levels at Winstanley College and Frank Charnock, on an engineering course at Preston College -- returned to Southlands High for the ceremony.
The duo won gold awards for 950 days' continuous attendance, while Amy Thomas, Kirsty Bloor and Christopher Bennett received silver awards for four years' attendance.
And Kirsty is following in her sister, Clare's, footsteps. For Clare was also a gold award winner.
Deputy head Brian Souter said: "Newsagent Paul Culshaw who owns a shop on Moor Road presented the awards because he's never missed a day's work in 30 years. We thought he was a good role model."
