BURY boss Andy Preece reckons any more signings this season will be loan deals only.
Preece snapped up two youngsters earlier this week both on six-month contracts but they are likely to be the last long-term additions to the squad.
Any other new faces will be temporary loan signings because money is still tight and, Preece believes, his squad is simply big enough.
The two new signings are 20-year-old midfielder Warren Paynton, who was released by Rochdale last season, and former Huddersfield Town youngster Ryan Crossley, also 20, a central defender who can play on the left.
Both players have been turning out for the reserves and have caught the manager's eye with a number of impressive performances.
"They have both done really well and we have have offered them six month contracts, It is now up to them to try and force their way into the first team squad, like Jason Jarrett has done," said Preece.
"The squad is now plenty big enough. We've got a lot of young lads aged 19 and 20 and we are looking for them to be pushing for a place in the side.
"There might be loan deals depending on who is available and who we need to bring in but at the moment we are okay."
Bury will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Port Vale at Gigg Lane on Saturday after a disappointing 1-0 defeat at bottom club Oxford at the weekend and a victory would consolidate the Shakers place at the top end of the league.
The new signings Paynton and Crossley are unlikely to make it into the 16 against Port Vale though young defender Danny Swailes may be set to make his first start of the season in place of the injured Matt Barrass.
