IT'S congratulations to Dr Brian Iddon MP for joining in the battle for a public toilet in Farnworth town centre.
I can recall 11 public toilets that have been closed in Farnworth in recent years. No doubt there are more.
We do have two ridiculously named super loos, inaccessible to wheelchairs and nursing mothers, where the light cuts out before the job is finished, but no public toilet.
I see many letters in the BEN complaining about dog and cat dirt, but I bet there is not one of your readers, who, taken short, with no public toilet in the vicinity, has not done the necessary behind a wall or hedge. This must be done frequently in Farnworth at present.
I am well aware of the north/south divide in the Bolton Borough but does the same problem exist in other parts of the town?
